Published to view the video film that was shot in a joint project of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine and the Ukrainian public organization "Association - My Family".

"Strengthening the capacity of foster parents and caregivers through the development of practical skills training of orphans and children deprived of parental care, arranged for the State in their family." The film is placed in section "About Association".

What is a foster family?

This is a family that has taken from one to four orphans and children deprived of parental care for education and cohabitation.

How does the state support foster families?

  1. A foster child retains the status of an orphan and uses all relevant benefits.
  2. Foster parents receive from the state funds for the maintenance of the child every month.
  3. Foster family is accompanied by a social worker of the Service of support of family-based care, which helps to overcome difficulties.

Adoptive parents are spouses or a person who is not married, who have taken orphans and children deprived of parental care to share accommodation and care for them.
